Tagetes erecta | Marigold Chedi® Gold
Tagetes erecta | Marigold Chedi® Gold
This is not your ordinary marigold! Even better than Cracker Jack, the extra-tall plants show off big, firm and well-shaped flowers up to 12 cm across. Count on long shelf life and continuous flowering from this star performer – it’s tolerant of soil-borne diseases such as Fusarium, with excellent adaptability to a wide range of climates. Great as a garden cut flower, too. 10 to 11 weeks.
To maximize growth and flowering, the recommended method is to transplant the seeds into 72-cell flats 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Alternatively, for those looking to plant directly, seeds can be sown 1/4" deep after the last frost. For optimal blooming in packs, sow 8 weeks before the desired bloom time and encourage branching by pinching the plants.
