Centaurea moschata imperialis | Sweet Sultan THE BRIDE

Part of the same Centaurea family as cornflowers, they're like creamy white cornflowers on steroids, bigger flowers, much stronger less tangly stems, even more pronounced pineapple-esque markings on the buds.

Lasts amazing well in the vase, with a soft sweet scent. It's only shortcomings are it really does not appreciate wet feet, or too much warm rain for too long - but in normal not depressing early summer weather it's an absolute gem!
