Zinnia elegans ‘Zinderella Fizz’ | Scabiosa-Flowered Zinnia
Zinnia elegans ‘Zinderella Fizz’ is a truly distinctive and eye-catching variety from the beloved Zinderella Series, admired for its unusual scabiosa-style blooms and soft, romantic colour palette. The flowers feature charming domed centres surrounded by delicate outer petals, creating a textured, layered effect unlike traditional zinnias.
This variety produces a beautiful mix of pink and white bicolour tones, often accented with deeper centres, giving each bloom a unique, almost “fizzy” appearance. Not every flower will be fully double — part of its charm lies in the natural variation of forms. As the season progresses and daylength shortens, plants tend to produce a higher percentage of fuller, more double blooms.
Growing to around 65–75 cm, ‘Zinderella Fizz’ produces strong, upright stems that are perfect for cutting. It is a favourite among flower growers and florists for its long vase life and ability to add texture and interest to bouquets.
Native to Mexico, zinnias thrive in warm, sunny conditions and are among the easiest annual flowers to grow, rewarding gardeners with abundant blooms throughout summer and early autumn.
