Sowing & Germination

Sow 1 seed per cell and cover lightly with a thin layer of coarse vermiculite or fine growing medium. Light is not required for germination.

• Root emergence: approximately 2–4 days
• Growing medium: pH 5.5–5.8

Keep the growing medium consistently moist during germination without prolonged waterlogging. After germination, gradually reduce the temperature to approximately 17–18°C and provide good light and air circulation.

Once established, cooler growing conditions help maintain compact, sturdy plants. High light levels encourage flower initiation and help produce the dense, well-shaped habit for which the Highflyer™ series is valued.
