Ranunculus Amandine Yellow Pastel | Ranunculus asiaticus | Persian Buttercup
Premium French Ranunculus corms with exceptionally large, fully double blooms in soft buttery-yellow and creamy pastel shades.
Ranunculus asiaticus ‘Amandine Yellow Pastel’ is a beautiful French variety from the renowned Amandine® Series, highly valued by professional cut-flower growers and florists for its exceptionally large flowers, strong stems and excellent productivity.
Amandine Yellow Pastel produces luxurious, rose-like blooms composed of layer upon layer of delicate, silky petals. Its sophisticated colouring combines soft pastel yellow, buttery cream and warm vanilla tones, creating a gentle alternative to brighter yellow Ranunculus varieties.
The subtle yellow palette brings warmth and light to floral designs without becoming overpowering. It works beautifully with white, cream, champagne, blush, peach, apricot and soft green, making Amandine Yellow Pastel particularly versatile for modern wedding floristry and romantic spring arrangements.
Each quality corm can produce multiple strong flowering stems, making this variety an excellent choice for professional flower farms as well as home cutting gardens.
The French Amandine® Series is renowned for its large flowers, vigorous plants, strong stems and excellent cut-flower performance. Amandine varieties generally flower slightly later than many traditional Ranunculus varieties and perform well as spring temperatures begin to rise, helping extend the Ranunculus harvest season.
With its sophisticated buttery-yellow colouring and professional cut-flower qualities, Amandine Yellow Pastel is an exceptional variety for growers looking for a softer and more elegant yellow Ranunculus.

How to Plant Ranunculus Corms
Step 1 – Soak the Corms
Before planting, soak the dry Ranunculus corms in room-temperature water for approximately 1–2 hours.
During soaking, the corms gradually absorb water and become plumper, preparing them for root development and active growth.
Avoid excessively long soaking, as prolonged exposure to water can increase the risk of rot.
Step 2 – Pre-Sprouting – Highly Recommended
Pre-sprouting encourages strong root development, more uniform growth and reliable establishment.
Fill a shallow tray with lightly moist potting compost.
Place the soaked corms into the compost with their characteristic claws pointing downward.
Cover lightly with compost.
Keep the tray in a cool location at approximately 8–12°C.
Keep the compost slightly moist but never wet.
After approximately 10–14 days, roots and new shoots should begin to develop.
Once a healthy root system has formed, carefully transplant the corms into their final growing position.
Outdoor Planting
Plant the corms with their claws pointing downward.
Planting depth: Approx. 5 cm
Spacing: 15–20 cm
Ranunculus perform best in fertile, humus-rich and, most importantly, very well-drained soil.
Avoid waterlogged conditions, as excessive moisture around the corms can cause rot.
Raised beds are particularly suitable for Ranunculus because they provide excellent drainage.
In regions with mild winters, corms can be planted in autumn for earlier spring flowering.
In colder climates, grow under protection or plant in late winter to early spring according to local weather conditions.
Growing & Care
Keep the soil evenly moist during active growth, but avoid overwatering.
During active growth and flowering, feed regularly with a balanced fertiliser suitable for flowering plants.
Regular harvesting and removal of faded flowers encourage plants to continue producing additional flowering stems.
After flowering, allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally before removing it.
Reduce watering as the plants enter dormancy and avoid excessive moisture around dormant corms.
Autumn & Winter Care
In mild climates, Ranunculus can be planted in autumn for earlier and often stronger spring growth.
In colder regions, plants are best grown under protection or planted in late winter or early spring.
After flowering and once the foliage has completely died back, the corms can be lifted if necessary.
Allow them to dry thoroughly and store them in a cool, dry, dark and frost-free place until the following planting season.
Harvest & Vase Life
For premium cut-flower quality, harvest Ranunculus at the famous “marshmallow stage.”
At this stage, the flower bud should already show its colour and feel soft and slightly springy when gently squeezed, while the flower itself remains only partially open.
Harvest during the cooler part of the day and place the stems immediately into clean water.
When harvested at the correct stage and properly conditioned, Ranunculus can provide a vase life of approximately 7–12 days.
Regular harvesting also encourages plants to continue producing additional flowering stems.
Perfect For
Professional flower farmers • Wedding florists • Bridal bouquets • Luxury floral designers • Spring arrangements • Pastel wedding palettes • Cut-flower gardens • Raised beds • Greenhouses • Containers • Spring and early-summer bouquets • Event floristry
Please Note
This product contains dry, dormant Ranunculus corms for planting. You will not receive a flowering plant.
Corm size: 3/5
Dormant Ranunculus corms naturally have a small, dry and claw-like appearance. This is completely normal. Once soaked and planted under suitable conditions, the corms rehydrate and begin producing roots and new growth.
Ranunculus Amandine Yellow Pastel is an exceptional French cut-flower variety combining large, luxurious blooms with an elegant palette of buttery yellow, cream and soft vanilla. Its subtle colouring makes it a beautiful choice for sophisticated wedding floristry, spring bouquets and professional cut-flower production.
