Petunia x hybrida Pendolino Yellow Center F1 | Petunia Seeds
Pelleted seeds | Trailing mini-multiflora petunia
Petunia ‘Pendolino Yellow Center F1’ is an exceptionally early-flowering trailing petunia, producing masses of delicate creamy-white to very pale yellow flowers with a warm yellow centre. Its fine, cascading growth and abundance of small flowers create a soft, elegant display that resembles Calibrachoa.
Pendolino is one of the earliest-flowering petunia series and is valued for its vigorous, spreading habit and excellent garden performance. Plants develop long trailing shoots that spread up to approximately 90 cm, while remaining only around 20 cm high, making this variety particularly suitable for hanging baskets, balcony boxes and containers.
The small 2.5–3 cm flowers are produced in abundance, creating a dense flowering canopy. The series is also notable for its ability to recover quickly after rain and overhead watering, helping plants maintain an attractive appearance during changeable summer weather. Your supplier information also indicates a very uniform flowering window of approximately 4–6 days within the crop.
Independent listings for the Pendolino series confirm its vigorous, spreading character and strong tolerance of cooler conditions, while seed-industry listings classify Pendolino as a mini-flowered multiflora F1 petunia supplied as pelleted seed.

Why Grow Pendolino Yellow Center F1?
Pendolino Yellow Center combines a particularly delicate flower colour with an extremely floriferous trailing habit. Unlike petunias grown primarily for large individual blooms, Pendolino creates its effect through large numbers of small flowers carried across a wide, cascading plant.
The shoots can spread to around 90 cm, making it especially effective when allowed to spill naturally from hanging baskets or elevated containers. The series is also reported to recover rapidly following rain, an important advantage for petunias grown outdoors.
Its soft creamy flowers with warm yellow centres are particularly useful for natural, pastel and neutral planting schemes.
Germination & Sowing
Sow indoors: February–April
Sow the pelleted seeds on the surface of a fine, moist, well-drained seed-starting substrate. Do not bury the seeds, as light aids germination. Gently press the pellets into the surface so they have good contact with the moist growing medium.
Maintain a temperature of approximately 20–24°C and keep the substrate consistently moist during germination. Pelleted seed must receive enough moisture for the coating to dissolve completely, but avoid waterlogging.
Germination: approximately 10–21 days under suitable conditions. This range is also reported for other Pendolino F1 colours.
Once seedlings emerge, provide plenty of light and good air circulation.
Growing Instructions
Transplant seedlings once they are large enough to handle. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions and plant outside after the risk of significant frost has passed.
Grow in full sun in fertile, well-drained growing medium. Petunias grown in containers are heavy feeders, so regular fertilisation throughout the growing season encourages vigorous growth and continuous flowering.
Water thoroughly when required, allowing excess water to drain freely. During hot weather, hanging baskets and smaller containers may require considerably more frequent watering than plants grown in the ground.
Regular feeding with a flowering or high-potassium fertiliser will help maintain abundant flowering through summer. Other Pendolino cultivation guidance similarly recommends regular feeding for maximum flowering performance.
