Discover Lobelia Riviera White (Lobelia erinus), an extra early-flowering series that blooms approximately 15 days earlier than standard varieties, perfect for extending your selling season. These compact, ball-shaped plants are ideal for beds, borders, containers, and color bowls. Enjoy abundant blooms by providing longer daylight and light shading in hot weather for optimal growth.

Key Features:

  • Early Flowering: Blooms 15 days earlier than standard lobelias, perfect for extending the season.
  • Compact, Ball-Shaped Plants: Stay neat and mound up, ideal for small spaces like containers, borders, and beds.
  • Abundant Blooms: Produces lots of vibrant flowers with proper care, especially with extended daylight and light shading during hot weather.

Germination Instructions:

  • Sowing Time: Start indoors from late winter to late spring, preferably early in the year.
  • Germination Temperature: 21-22°C
  • Surface Sow: Lightly sow seeds onto moist, well-drained seed compost. It helps to mix the seeds with silver sand for easier sowing.
  • Germination Temperature: 15-20°C. Keep the seeds uncovered, as they need light to germinate. Germination typically takes 10-14 days.
  • Transplanting: Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them to trays with 5cm spacing. Acclimatize them to outdoor conditions and plant them in clumps (not individually) in May with a spacing of 15cm.

Growing Instructions:

  • Prefers a moist, well-drained soil in partial shade. Ideal for cool spots.
  • Keep the plants moist at all times, especially during hot or dry conditions, as they do not tolerate heat or drought well.

Cultivation Tips:

  • Mid-Summer Pruning: To rejuvenate the plant and encourage bushier growth, you can cut back the plants by half in height during mid-summer.
  • Post-Flowering Care: Once flowering ends in late autumn, pull up the plants and compost them.

The Lobelia Seeds Riviera White is a great  variety of lobelia seeds to grow.
