Soft Champagne Flowers for Romantic Bouquets

Rosita® Champagne F1 is a beautiful choice for growers seeking champagne lisianthus with gentle pink and cream colouring. Its rose-like flowers suit bridal bouquets, understated arrangements and soft pastel palettes.

Combine the blooms with ivory, blush pink, apricot or lavender. Fresh green foliage highlights their delicate colouring, while burgundy or plum flowers provide a deeper contrast.

The reference image shows a noticeable pink blush, so the colour is best described as a blend of champagne, cream and pale pink. Its appearance can vary with lighting, flower stage and growing conditions.

The Rosita® Series & Group 3

Rosita® is an established series of double-flowered lisianthus, valued for its rounded blooms, sturdy stems and thick petals.

Firm petals help reduce handling damage and Botrytis-related problems during transport. Good ventilation and careful moisture management remain important during cultivation.

The series includes varieties in Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4. Rosita® Champagne F1 belongs to Group 3. Plan sowing and planting dates according to your growing conditions and intended harvest season.

Sowing & Seedling Care

Lisianthus develops slowly during its early stages, so allow several months for propagation and growth to flowering.

Sow on the surface of a fine, well-drained seed-starting substrate. Do not cover with soil. If supplied as pelleted seed, carefully moisten the pellets so their coating can dissolve.

Keep the substrate evenly moist without allowing it to dry out or become waterlogged. Provide sufficient light during germination and after emergence. Winter sowings benefit from supplementary grow lights.

Transplant seedlings before their roots become crowded. Handle the root ball gently and maintain the original planting depth.

Growing Conditions & Care

Choose a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil. Greenhouse cultivation helps manage temperature, watering and humidity.

Space plants approximately 15 cm apart and use a support net to encourage straight stems.

Maintain consistent moisture and good airflow. Water at the base of the plants to keep leaves and flowers dry. Use clean propagation trays and a quality, well-drained growing medium.

Flowering time depends on temperature, light levels, sowing date and seedling development. Plan ahead and provide adequate lighting for early indoor sowings.

Harvesting & Vase Care

Cut stems when several flowers have opened. Remove leaves below the waterline and place the stems promptly into clean water.

Refresh the water regularly and use cut flower food if available. Careful harvesting and handling help preserve the excellent vase life of Rosita® flowers.
