Clarkia amoena Grace Salmon F1 | Godetia Seeds

Godetia Grace Salmon F1 produces salmon-pink flowers with silky, satin-like petals on upright, branching stems. Its warm colour brings softness to bouquets and garden borders, combining beautifully with cream, white, blush pink, lavender and burgundy flowers.

This uniform F1 hybrid is a cool-season annual suited to cutting gardens and mixed flower beds. Its branching habit provides several flowering stems, while the blooms attract butterflies and other pollinators.

Salmon-Pink Flowers for Bouquets

Grace Salmon F1 adds a warm, gentle colour and a distinctive petal texture to floral arrangements. Flowers open in clusters along branching stems, creating a naturally full appearance.

The salmon-pink shade suits romantic bouquets and warm pastel combinations. Pair it with white bellflowers, blush lisianthus or lavender-toned flowers for a balanced seasonal arrangement.

Individual blooms last a few days, while additional buds continue opening. Harvesting at the right stage allows you to enjoy this succession of flowers in the vase.

Sowing & Germination

Sowing Method: Start indoors or sow directly into prepared soil
Indoor Sowing: Approximately 4–6 weeks before the intended planting date
Sowing Depth: Surface sow
Cover Seed: No
Germination Time: Approximately 10–14 days under suitable conditions

Sow onto the surface of a fine, moist, well-drained seed compost and gently press into place. Do not cover with soil. Water carefully to avoid displacing the small seeds and maintain even moisture without waterlogging.

After emergence, provide bright light and good ventilation. Transplant while the plants are still young, handling the roots carefully and avoiding prolonged crowding in trays.

Harden off gradually before planting outdoors. For a straightforward spring schedule, plant out after the risk of frost has passed. Thin directly sown seedlings to the recommended spacing.

Growing Conditions & Care

Grace performs best in cool conditions with relatively dry weather. Choose full sun and well-drained soil, and avoid excessive heat.

For controlled production, favourable temperatures are approximately 15–18°C during the day and around 10°C at night. Hot conditions can reduce flower and stem quality.

Water at soil level and maintain steady moisture during establishment. Once plants are growing strongly, avoid keeping the soil constantly wet. Feed moderately and provide support in exposed positions or cutting beds.

Pinching & Branching

Grace naturally develops side shoots. Optional pinching when plants are approximately 15–20 cm tall can encourage a bushier plant with more flowering stems, although it may delay the first flowers.

Allow approximately 20–25 cm between plants to give the branches room to develop.

Flowering & Harvest

Allow approximately 75–90 days from sowing to flowering, with timing influenced by temperature, daylength and growing conditions.

Harvest when the first flower on a stem opens. For the first central-stem harvest, cut low, just above the lowest two or three healthy side shoots. Leave these shoots to develop for later cuts.

Place stems promptly into clean water and remove foliage below the waterline. With proper harvesting and care, expect approximately 7 days of vase life. Keep arrangements cool and away from direct sunlight.
