Snapdragon Twinny™ Double Flowered Peach F1 | Antirrhinum majus

Snapdragon Twinny Double Flowered Peach F1 is a unique, double-flowered snapdragon variety, offering beautiful semi-double to fully double blooms in soft peach tones. This compact and mounded F1 hybrid is the first of its kind, making it a standout choice for borders, flower beds, containers, and landscapes.

With its strong basal branching and upright growth, this hardy and easy-to-grow plant provides continuous flowering from early summer to autumn. Its butterfly-like blooms add a charming, delicate touch to gardens, while its excellent tolerance to heat and cooler temperatures makes it a reliable performer in various climates.

Key Features:

  • Unique double-flowered, dwarf F1 hybrid
  • Beautiful peach-colored, semi-double to double blooms
  • Compact, upright habit (15-30 cm tall, 15-20 cm spread)
  • Heat tolerant and easy to grow
  • Ideal for borders, beds, patio containers, and cut flowers
  • Deer and rabbit resistant

Sowing Instructions:

Sowing Time: January to May (for summer blooms) or July to September (for early spring blooms the following year).

Indoor Sowing (Recommended):

  1. Sow seeds on the surface of moist, well-drained seed compost.
  2. Do not cover seeds, as light aids germination.
  3. Maintain a temperature of 20-30°C (68-86°F) in a propagator or cover with plastic to retain humidity.
  4. Germination time: 10-21 days.
  5. Once seedlings are large enough to handle (5-6 weeks), transplant them into trays or 7.5 cm (3 in) pots.
  6. Pinch back young plants at 5-10 cm height to encourage bushy growth.
  7. Harden off and plant outdoors after the last frost.

Direct Sowing (Mild Climates Only):

  • Sow directly outdoors from mid-April to late May in a sunny, well-drained location.
  • Press seeds gently into the soil, keeping it moist until germination.

Growing Instructions:

  • Sunlight: Prefers full sun but tolerates partial shade.
  • Soil: Well-drained, moderately rich soil with organic matter.
  • Watering:
    • Water daily for the first few weeks after transplanting.
    • Once established, water when the top 2.5 cm (1 in) of soil feels dry.
  • Fertilizing: Feed every 2 weeks with a balanced fertilizer.
  • Deadheading: Remove spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming.
  • Mulching: Helps retain soil moisture and suppress weeds.
  • Cold Tolerance: Hardy to -8°C (18°F); may survive mild winters.

Uses:
Perfect for bedding and borders, patio containers, and window boxes. Excellent as a cut flower, lasting one to two weeks in vases. Attracts bees and butterflies while being resistant to deer and rabbits.
