Sowing Instructions
Sow seeds 8–10 weeks before the last expected frost or throughout the year for greenhouse production.
Surface sow the pelleted seeds and do not cover, as light is required for germination. Maintain temperatures of 18–21°C (64–70°F).
Seedlings are typically ready for transplanting after 4–5 weeks.
For outdoor production, sow from February to May for flowering later the same season, or sow during August to September for overwintering and early flowering the following year.
Growing Tips
Grow in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil for the highest-quality stems.
Orinoco naturally develops strong branching, producing numerous flowering sprays with exceptional uniformity and continuous blooming.
After the first flowering flush, cut plants back to ground level to encourage fresh growth and repeated harvests.
In mild climates, plants may overwinter and flower again in subsequent seasons.
Harvest
Harvest stems when approximately 75% of the flowers on each spray are fully open for the longest vase life and optimal post-harvest quality.
For dried flowers, allow all flowers on the spray to open completely before harvesting.
