Limonium sinuatum QIS® Yellow | Statice
Professional florist-quality statice with vibrant golden-yellow flowers for fresh and dried arrangements.
Limonium sinuatum 'QIS® Yellow' is a premium cut flower variety from the renowned QIS® Series, valued by professional flower growers for its excellent uniformity, strong stems, high productivity and outstanding flower quality.
QIS® Yellow produces masses of delicate bright golden-yellow flowers arranged in airy clusters on sturdy, branching stems. The cheerful colour brings warmth and texture to summer bouquets and combines beautifully with white, cream, peach, apricot, pink, blue and lavender flowers.
One of the greatest advantages of statice is its versatility. The flowers are excellent when used fresh, but they also retain their shape and colour exceptionally well when dried, making QIS® Yellow an essential variety for everlasting bouquets, wreaths and dried floral designs.

Sowing Instructions
Transplanting – Recommended
Sow indoors 6–8 weeks before the last expected frost.
Sow seeds into seed trays or individual cells and cover very lightly with fine vermiculite or growing medium.
Maintain a germination temperature of approximately 18–21°C.
Germination usually takes around 5–14 days.
Once seedlings have developed several true leaves, grow them on in a bright, well-ventilated location. Harden off gradually before transplanting outdoors after the danger of severe frost has passed.
Statice develops a sensitive root system, so avoid leaving seedlings in small cells for too long.
Growing
Plant QIS® Yellow in full sun and well-drained soil. Limonium performs particularly well in warm, sunny conditions and does not tolerate permanently waterlogged soil.
Space plants approximately 25–30 cm apart to provide good air circulation and encourage strong branching.
Once established, statice is relatively drought tolerant. Water deeply when necessary rather than keeping the soil constantly wet.
For professional cut flower production, support netting can be useful to keep the flowering stems straight, particularly in exposed or windy locations.
Harvesting for Fresh Flowers
Harvest when the majority of the small flowers on a stem have opened.
Statice harvested too early may wilt because unopened flowers do not continue developing particularly well after cutting.
For the best vase life, harvest during the cooler part of the day and place the stems immediately into clean water.
Harvesting for Dried Flowers
QIS® Yellow is exceptional for drying.
Harvest when the flowers are fully open and displaying their strongest colour.
Remove the lower foliage, gather the stems into small bunches and hang them upside down in a dry, dark and well-ventilated location.
Once completely dry, the papery flowers retain their shape and beautiful golden-yellow colour for months.

Limonium sinuatum QIS® Yellow is an indispensable variety for anyone growing flowers for cutting. Its vibrant golden-yellow colour, strong stems, excellent productivity and exceptional performance as both a fresh and dried flower make it a valuable addition to any professional flower farm or home cutting garden.
