Celosia Sunday™ Bright Orange | Celosia plumosa | Feather Celosia | Cut Flower
Sunday™ Bright Orange is a professional cut flower celosia with full, feathery bright orange plumes and long, strong stems. Its upright habit and richly textured flowers add height, warmth and volume to mixed bouquets.
The Sunday™ series was developed specifically for professional cut flower production, combining full plume-shaped flowers with strong stems and high productivity. Sunday™ Bright Orange is particularly suitable for high-density production and works beautifully as a filler, line and volume flower.
Its vibrant orange colour makes it especially attractive for summer and autumn floristry, bringing warmth and depth to seasonal arrangements. The variety performs particularly well in a greenhouse or high tunnel and offers excellent vase life and good suitability for transport.

What Colour is Sunday™ Bright Orange?
Sunday™ Bright Orange produces vivid, warm orange, full feathery flower plumes. The intense orange colour creates a bright, glowing appearance and makes the flowers stand out beautifully in mixed arrangements.
The warm orange shade is particularly suited to summer and autumn bouquets and combines beautifully with apricot, peach, cream, burgundy, bronze, terracotta, green and other warm seasonal tones.
Growing Information
Sunday™ Bright Orange is designed for high-density professional cut flower production. Plant at approximately 13–18 cm spacing, or around 64–80 plants per m².
Celosia develops a taproot and is sensitive to root damage. Plants should therefore be transplanted before the plugs become rootbound. Root damage can lead to premature bud formation, malformed flowers and less uniform plants.
Keep the growing medium consistently moist, especially during the first two weeks after transplanting, as water stress can encourage premature flowering.
Before flower development, recommended temperatures are approximately 18–24°C during the day and 17–18°C at night. Better flower quality can be achieved with slightly cooler greenhouse temperatures as the flowers develop.
Celosia can be sensitive to high salt levels and high EC, so avoid excessive fertilisation.
Should Sunday™ Bright Orange Be Pinched?
Pinching is generally not necessary for Sunday™ Bright Orange when grown for professional cut flower production.
The Sunday™ series is designed to produce long, strong stems topped with full terminal plumes, particularly when grown at high planting densities.
Growing plants without pinching helps maintain the characteristic tall, straight cut-flower stem and prominent plume.
Harvest & Vase Life
Harvest Sunday™ Bright Orange when the flower plume is approximately 90–100% developed.
After harvest, remove approximately 50–75% of the foliage and place the stems in clean water. Avoid cold storage where possible.
Vase life is approximately 7–14 days.
Sunday™ Bright Orange for Cut Flowers
Celosia Sunday™ Bright Orange is an excellent professional cut flower variety for adding vibrant orange colour, texture and volume to bouquets.
Its combination of full feathery plumes, long strong stems, high productivity and excellent vase life makes it particularly suitable for premium mixed bouquets and professional flower production.
The brilliant orange plumes are especially beautiful in summer and autumn arrangements, pairing naturally with apricot, peach, cream, burgundy, bronze, terracotta and fresh green flowers and foliage.
