Helipterum roseum Pierrot White | Everlasting Pierrot

Unique black-and-white everlasting · Fresh & dried cut flower

Helipterum roseum ‘Pierrot’ White (botanically Rhodanthe chlorocephala) is a striking everlasting flower with an unmistakable black and bright yellow central ring, surrounded by crisp white, papery petals. This bold contrast gives the flowers a dramatic, graphic appearance that stands out beautifully in dried arrangements and floral design work.

The relatively small, upward-facing, daisy-like blooms measure approximately 3–5 cm and are produced in abundance. While not ideal as a fresh cut flower—since blooms naturally close at night and reopen during the day, making them slower to fully open indoors—this variety truly excels as a drying flower. Once dried, the blooms hold their flat, open shape and vivid contrast exceptionally well, remaining decorative for months.

Plants are basally branching and highly productive, producing thin, wiry stems that are easy to harvest and strip. Even a small planting can yield an impressive number of stems, making this variety a favorite for growers focusing on dried flower production.

With a plant height of around 50 cm, ‘Pierrot’ Red is best suited for decorative cutting, wreaths, dried bouquets, and floral installations rather than long-stem bouquet work.

Helipterum is also known as Acroclinium, Immortelle, Paper Daisy, Australian Everlasting, and Everlasting Daisy—a classic paper-daisy form loved for its texture, longevity, and strong visual impact.
