Sowing Instructions

Start seeds indoors or in a greenhouse 5–6 weeks before transplanting. Sow seeds approximately 6 mm (¼") deep and maintain temperatures of 18–24°C (65–75°F). Germination usually occurs within 7–14 days.

For continuous harvests, sow every two weeks. Stock performs best during cool growing conditions in spring and autumn.

Transplant seedlings when they have 4–5 true leaves into fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny location.

Do not pinch plants, as each plant naturally produces a single flowering stem.

Double Flower Selection

The StoX® Series allows growers to easily identify double-flowering plants.

At the cotyledon stage, expose seedlings to 4–7°C (40–45°F) for 3–4 days. Double-flowering seedlings develop lighter green, oval-shaped cotyledons, while darker green, rounder cotyledons produce single flowers.

This simple selection process allows professional growers to achieve 100% double-flowering plants, ensuring premium-quality stems for the cut flower market.

Harvest

Harvest stems when one-third to one-half of the florets have opened for the best vase life, fragrance, and post-harvest quality.
