Celosia Sunday™ Bright Pink | Celosia plumosa | Feather Celosia | Cut Flower

Sunday™ Bright Pink is a professional cut flower celosia with full, feathery bright pink plumes and long, strong stems. Its upright habit and richly textured flowers add height, vibrant colour and volume to mixed bouquets.

The Sunday™ series was developed specifically for professional cut flower production, combining full plume-shaped flowers with strong stems and high productivity. Sunday™ Bright Pink is particularly suitable for high-density production and works beautifully as a filler, line and volume flower.

Its vivid pink colour is particularly attractive for summer and autumn floristry, bringing a bright, fresh accent to seasonal arrangements. The variety performs particularly well in a greenhouse or high tunnel and offers excellent vase life and good suitability for transport.

What Colour is Sunday™ Bright Pink?

Sunday™ Bright Pink produces vivid, saturated bright pink, full feathery flower plumes. The intense pink colour creates a fresh, eye-catching appearance and stands out beautifully in mixed bouquets.

The vibrant shade is especially attractive in summer and early autumn arrangements and combines beautifully with blush pink, peach, apricot, cream, white, burgundy, purple and fresh green flowers and foliage.

Growing Information

Sunday™ Bright Pink is designed for high-density professional cut flower production. Plant at approximately 13–18 cm spacing, or around 64–80 plants per m².

Celosia develops a taproot and is sensitive to root damage. Plants should therefore be transplanted before the plugs become rootbound. Root damage can lead to premature bud formation, malformed flowers and less uniform plants.

Keep the growing medium consistently moist, especially during the first two weeks after transplanting, as water stress can encourage premature flowering.

Before flower development, recommended temperatures are approximately 18–24°C during the day and 17–18°C at night. Better flower quality can be achieved with slightly cooler greenhouse temperatures as the flowers develop.

Celosia can be sensitive to high salt levels and high EC, so avoid excessive fertilisation.

Should Sunday™ Bright Pink Be Pinched?

Pinching is generally not necessary for Sunday™ Bright Pink when grown for professional cut flower production.

The Sunday™ series is designed to produce long, strong stems topped with full terminal plumes, particularly when grown at high planting densities.

Growing the plants without pinching helps maintain the characteristic tall, straight cut-flower stem and prominent plume.

Harvest & Vase Life

Harvest Sunday™ Bright Pink when the flower plume is approximately 90–100% developed.

After harvest, remove approximately 50–75% of the foliage and place the stems immediately in clean water. Avoid cold storage where possible.

Vase life is approximately 7–14 days.

Its combination of full feathery plumes, long strong stems, high productivity and excellent vase life makes it particularly suitable for premium mixed bouquets and professional flower production.

The brilliant pink plumes are especially beautiful in summer and autumn arrangements, pairing naturally with blush, peach, apricot, cream, white, burgundy, purple and fresh green flowers and foliage.
