Sowing Instructions
Sow seeds 8–10 weeks before the last expected frost or throughout the year for greenhouse production.
Surface sow the pelleted seeds and do not cover, as light is required for germination. Maintain temperatures of 18–21°C.
Seedlings are usually ready for transplanting after 4–5 weeks.
For outdoor production, sow from February to May for flowering later the same season, or sow during August to September for overwintering and early blooms the following year.
Growing Tips
Plant in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil.
Camilla naturally develops strong branching, producing numerous flowering stems with exceptional uniformity and abundant blooms throughout the growing season.
After the first flush of flowers, cut plants back to ground level to encourage fresh growth and repeated flowering.
In mild climates, plants may overwinter and continue blooming in subsequent years.
Harvest
Harvest stems when approximately 75% of the flowers on each spray are fully open for the best vase life and post-harvest performance.
For dried flowers, harvest when all flowers on the spray have opened completely.
