How to Grow Double Zahara™ Salmon from Seed

Double Zahara™ Salmon is a fast-growing annual zinnia that performs best in warm conditions.

Sow 1 seed per cell in a fine, moist seed-starting substrate and cover the seed lightly. The breeder recommends an initial germination temperature of approximately 20–23°C.

Keep the substrate consistently moist during germination, but avoid excessive wetness.

PanAmerican Seed lists 2–3 days from 50% to maximum germination. This technical measurement refers to the period between half of the seeds germinating and maximum germination rather than the complete period from sowing to first emergence.

Allow approximately 3 weeks for plug production, then gradually harden the young plants before transplanting outdoors after the risk of frost has passed.
