Sowing Season

Successful flower growing begins with sowing at the right time. Our Sowing Season collection makes it easy to choose flower seeds based on the best season for sowing, helping you achieve stronger plants, better germination and more abundant blooms.

Whether you're starting seeds indoors during winter, sowing hardy annuals in autumn, filling your garden with spring sowings or making the most of summer planting, you'll find carefully selected flower varieties suited to each season.

Browse our seasonal categories to discover the best flowers to sow throughout the year:

  • Autumn Sowing – Ideal for hardy annuals and cold-tolerant flowers that benefit from natural winter chilling and reward you with earlier blooms the following season.
  • Winter Sowing – Perfect for starting seeds indoors or using winter sowing methods to produce strong, healthy seedlings ready for spring planting.
  • Spring Sowing – The most popular sowing season, offering a wide selection of annuals and perennials for colourful summer gardens and cut flower production.
  • Summer Sowing – Great for fast-growing flowers, biennials and perennials, as well as planning next season's blooms.
